Terms of Service
Last updated 12 October 2026 · Applies to the Pilnear app, the Pilnear Biz app for pharmacies, and this website
Pilnear is an early-stage service starting in Pune, India. By using the apps or this website you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
What Pilnear is
Pilnear is a technology service that lets you ask nearby pharmacies whether they have a medicine, lets a pharmacy reply with what it has and its price, and lets the two agree to hold an item at the pharmacy counter. Pilnear is not a pharmacy. It does not sell, dispense, prescribe or deliver medicines, and it is not a party to the sale. Each pharmacy is independent and responsible for what it stocks, quotes and dispenses.
Not medical advice, and not for emergencies
Nothing in Pilnear is medical advice. Ask a pharmacist or doctor if you are unsure about any medicine. Pilnear is not for emergencies: in an emergency call 112 or go to the nearest hospital.
For buyers
- You use Pilnear for yourself or for someone who has asked you to, and what you enter is true to the best of your knowledge.
- A reply is the pharmacy’s statement of what it has and at what price. Availability and price are confirmed at the counter, where you pay. The app takes no payment.
- Medicines that need a prescription (for example Schedule H and H1 medicines) can only be given against a valid prescription, and the pharmacy decides whether to dispense. Only upload a prescription you are entitled to share.
- A hold asks the pharmacy to keep an item; it is only in place once the pharmacy confirms it. Either side may cancel, with a reason the other can read. A hold ends after its time runs out.
- Reviews should describe a real pick-up and be honest and respectful.
For pharmacies
- You hold a valid drug licence, you are authorised to act for the pharmacy, and the details and licence photo you give are genuine. We may refuse or remove a pharmacy that is not verified.
- You keep stock and price information accurate, and you follow the law when you dispense, including prescription rules for Schedule H and H1 medicines.
- You do not advertise prescription medicines as offers or discounts through Pilnear, and you do not offer a discount, promotion or refund in the app that you have not agreed to honour at the counter.
- You are responsible for what you dispense. Pilnear acts only as a technology facilitator.
Using it fairly
- Do not misuse the service, send false requests or replies, try to break, scrape or overload it, or look at data that is not yours.
- Do not copy the Pilnear name or logo in a way that suggests you are us.
- We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or the law, or that puts others at risk.
Your account and data
You can download your data or delete your account inside the app. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the service running but it is provided as it is, and it may be interrupted or change. To the extent the law allows, Pilnear is not liable for a pharmacy’s stock, price or dispensing, for medicines that are unavailable when you arrive, or for losses that come from relying on a reply, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us, which for the apps is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under Indian consumer law that cannot be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Pune, Maharashtra, have jurisdiction, subject to any right you have to bring a consumer complaint where you live.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top of this page when we do. Questions: use the address on our contact page.
